You mention Esther. It's quite interesting that the book of Esther is the only book of the Bible that does not mention God (at least in the Hebrew version which is what most of us are familiar with). Other Biblical authors weren't in the least bit shy about attributing Divine intervention to historical events. Could it be that the author of Esther did not see the hand of God at work here? Or was this because he had another message in mind?

Each person is firmly convinced that they have the correct interpretation. Yet, how many recognized churches are there, not to mention the unrecognized ones? How does one know when one is on the right path? By feelings? So if I agree with you, I am following the right path, but if I don't then I am headed for fire? Is that how that works? Because I am honestly baffled and confused by the diversity of conflicting voices out there who all say they are right and everyone else wrong. "By their fruit" might be a good guideline; but then one can always find an exemption or a justification if one perceives that that is what God truly wants. And how can we say they are wrong? After all God ordered Abraham to sacrifice his son. Abraham didn't question that, nor did Isaac; neither did the Biblical writer. And nobody asked Sarah, Isaac's mother, what she thought of it. But I think that you and I and most people would say that this is wrong and such commands ought not to be obeyed blindly. So how do we react to this and other troubling passages in the Bible that seem to go against the principles of "Do unto others" and "Love thy neighbor" and "By their fruit shall ye know them"? Yes, I am familiar with many, many, many, passages of Scripture, and I judge them not on what others have said that they say, but what the passages themselves say; and I do not like everything that I read there.

The LORD is very near you & His Word is in you. I trust HE will reveal all truth to you, bit by bit as He does me. There’s been times in my life when I’ve yelled at GOD how much I truly hated His will in my life. After acknowledging that disgust in my heart, revelation of His love has reassured me time & again that I don’t need to have all the answers, but that my hope & faith is rooted in His Word, His promises, & the Person of Jesus Christ. How long does it take for a jeweler to chisel away all the beautiful facets of a diamond in the rough? Idk, but I do know we are His jewels; & He is carefully, masterfully chiseling away so that we can shine forth His glory in our lives more beautiful than the stars in the night sky. 💫 What we don’t understand, we can ask Him to make the matters known. I have to believe His timing is perfect.
