Dr. Sherri, there is an excellent documentary on youtube that reveals just how toxic these farm raised salmon are. This documentary was made in Norway where they have these Huge salmon farming operations. The Norwegian researchers did a very thorough job of doing mass spectronomy analysis machines, etc. They concluded that farm raised salmon is the Most Toxic meat you can buy in any store, anywhere. The main reason? They literally thrown 5-gallon buckets of pesticides and antibiotics in pellet form into these huge fish pens where ungodly numbers of salmon ( and other fish) are crammed into these fish net pens. Because the regular fish food is also in pellet form, the fish go after these pesticide and antibiotic pellets just as voraciously as they do on the regular food pellets. To them, its all the same. They have to add these Huge amounts of pesticide and antibiotics into the diet of these fish (and all farmed raised fish) because the overcrowded, unnatural environment causes the increase of sea-borne pest, fish lice, etc. And the gases that build up from the fish feces causes extremely toxic bacterial buildup and only the antibiotics can keep it down. But everyone who eats these salmon and other farm raised fish and especially seafood (shrimp, crabs, mussels, etc) also eats the pesticide and antibiotics that remain in the flesh of these fish, Even After Cooking.
