I have nothing nice to say about tattoos, so I'll say nothing at all. :)

My gut tell me to avoid tattoos. As a cynic, Ive always thought that the normalization of tattoos in the general public was suspect - how did it become cool - Not just for bikers and sailors? What energy is behind this fad? Who or what wants us to be accepting of painful permanent skin markings.

Gosh, As a parent, when the children were small i cautioned them to not use permanent markers on their skin because it is was toxic to absorb, hard to scrub off and looked terrible. So now, the idea of adults, willfully injecting permanent coloured ink under their skin — is thoroughly mystifying.

Also strangely, ideally, it has to be permanent ink, because use of non permanent tattoos is frowned upon. You’d think that a tattoo artist shop would want dissolving ink so that the person would return to get re-inked, but No, it goes against their marketing ethos to be a true tattoo - “you must be injected with a permanent mark’.
