Matthew 12:31-32 (ISV)
(Jesus said) “I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.”
When I first read it, I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. To confirm the press release was real, I went to whitehouse.gov and read the proclamation for myself: (read in full here)
I am proud that my Administration has stood for justice from the start, working to ensure that the LGBTQA+ community can live openly, in safety, with dignity and respect. I am proud to have appointed transgender leaders to my Administration and to have ended the ban on transgender Americans serving openly in our military.
Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.
As insulting as it appears on the surface, it wasn’t exactly a slam against Easter Sunday, our savior’s Resurrection Day as many have claimed. As it turns out, International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDV) was established on March 31, 2009. Created by transgender activist Rachel Crandall Crocker from Michigan, TDV has had various degrees of worldwide participation. In 2022, the U.S. and state governments recognized the transgender celebration by lighting up bridges and skyscrapers across the country with the colors of the transgender flag — light pink, light blue and white. This year, events were scheduled that included speakers, marches, panels, and picnics from Cincinnati to Atlanta, and Fresno to Philadelphia and in countries including Kosovo and the Netherlands. Perhaps the highest profile event in the U.S. was a scheduled rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
According to a 2022 study from the Williams Institute, a research center at UCLA's law school, there are about 1.6 million people in the U.S. identify as transgender. According to www.Worldometer.com, the population of the U.S. as of April 2, 2024 is just over 341,367,000 – making the transgender community about 0.47% of the total. Most current surveys from 2022-23 report about 64% of Americas (decreased from 91% in 1976) call themselves Christian, or about 218,475,000 people.
Let’s see: 0.47% vs. 64%…….1.6M vs. nearly 218.5M people.
Hmmm.
In an effort to highlight its DEI policies, the Biden administration opted to fly in the face of the vast majority of God-fearing, Jesus-loving Americans to be sure he made a big deal about this declarative date., even though Biden denies it by saying, “I didn’t do that.” (If he didn’t, then who in his Administration did?)
True, the date was set more than a decade ago and it just happened to coincide with Resurrection Sunday this year but the declaration was written on March 29, correlating with the date of Jesus’ crucifixion. There was obvious insensitivity to Believers. The press release could have acknowledged the date coincidence in honor of the religious practices of vast number of people who just don’t morally agree with this agenda.
What is more important, to stand on Biblical principles and using those principles as leadership guidelines, or let the tiny minority overrule the moral guideposts set by the majority, so no one is “offended”?
But couple the TDV announcement with the 45-year ban of religious-themed designs from White House Easter Egg Art Contest, the lawsuits over the legality of nativity scenes on public grounds, but the allowing the Church of Satan to set up a Baphomet display at the Capitol building in Illinois begs the question: What has happened to the moral compass of our country?
Statistics from various sources paint a bleak picture. A recent Gallup poll found 71% of Americans believe the country is in moral decline. In a separate poll (2019) by the Edelman Trust Barometer, 39% of Americans stated they had “no confidence at all” in the country’s direction. From trust in government to race relations, Americans are increasingly pessimistic about the country’s future and its values. As long as the tail wags the dog, and the opinion of the distinct minority rules, we’ll continue to drift aimlessly like a leaf on a breezy fall day. As long as this nation runs without God’s influence, America’s future is in jeopardy.
Transgenderism and the Bible
This article, published in 2018 by Focus on the Family, is spot-on with my beliefs. God made Man and Woman. Marriage is between one man and one woman. And only a genetically born women can give birth and breast feed with nutritious, God-designed food for the newborn. The article concludes by saying:
God calls us to proclaim the truth and beauty of His design and the redemption of sexual brokenness in our lives and culture through Jesus Christ. Like everyone else, “transgendered” individuals are desperately in need of God’s truth and deserve to know the love and compassion of Christ as shown through His people.
Has America “crossed the line”?
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah primarily because sexual sin had become accepted as the norm: homosexuality, sex outside of marriage, and other acts too vile to mention. In today’s culture, we can add abortion, pornography, pedophilia, humans trafficked as sex slaves, and even zoophilia to the perversions the minority would have us accept as the “new normal.”
I did a lot of reading on what others have written about blasphemy and blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. While I only have a small understanding of the unforgivable sin, this information offers points to ponder.
Webster’s definition:
Blasphemy: irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Great disrespect shown to God or to something holy.
In an essay by Andy Naselli, he describes the “unpardonable sin” this way: (paraphrased)
The unpardonable sin is not an accidental, impulsive, or unguarded slip of the tongue.
Those who commit the unpardonable sin decisively reject the clear, Spirit-revealed truth about Jesus. They rebel by declaring that Satan empowered the mighty works of Jesus. They decisively reject Jesus.
They continue to rebel against Jesus until they die. They have no desire to repent or change their feelings toward or their relationship with God. This sin can overlap with apostasy. Apostasy is decisively turning away from the faith. An apostate person is one who once claimed to be a Christian but then irreversibly abandons and renounces orthodox Christianity, belief in God and Jesus.
Those who have committed the unpardonable sin are not worried about it. They are hardened in their unbelief. So, if you are worried that you might have committed the unpardonable sin, that is a reliable sign that you have not committed it.
I like that last paragraph the best. There is always room – and time – to repent when you seek God’s mercy and forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 (HCSB) says,
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
But 1 John 1:10 goes on to say, “If we say, ‘We don’t have any sin,’ we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
What’s Next?
Tomorrow is April 8, the day of the solar eclipse that much of the world is focused on. We’ve all no doubt read various accounts and watched a wide variety of videos about it. Yesterday, my Saturday Substack - Eye on the Evidence - was about the activation of CERN. According to www.EclipseWitness.com
An original map by Sand depicts the American Aleph, the alpha, the A of our modern letter. This hieroglyphic pattern is formed by mapping the three complete solar eclipse paths of Aug. 21, 2017, Oct. 14, 2023, and Apr. 08, 2024. There has never been such a tightly formed obvious Aleph over the interior borders of any nation in at least the last thousand years.
An original map by Sand depicting the American Tav formed by the total solar eclipses of 2017 and 2024. Tav is a cross, the last letter of both the ancient Hebrew and Egyptian alphabets. The apex is over the area in Illinois known as Little Egypt.
We know that it passes across 8 towns named Nineveh (seven in the US and one in Canada). In Nineveh of old, every person – and animal - went on a 3-day dry fast. They repented to avoid destruction; will America?

Today’s Prayer
Dear Father, only You know the day and the hour Your Son will return to earth. By studying Your Word, we see signs that suggest the time may be drawing nigh. Nonetheless, the most important thing for each of us to do is to be sure our hearts and minds are ready to be with You at any moment.
We don’t know when our last breath may come, and it may have nothing to do with Biblical timelines. We know that You are longsuffering toward our foolish ways, and You wish that we should all come to repentance. You love us so much; You wish that none would perish. May the Holy Spirit push us into action as Your soldiers, sharing the Gospel with all and leading our nation, our communities, our families, our friends to You. In Jesus name, Amen.

The biggest slam on Easter is the pagan symbology that predominates over its true meaning.
